We are a child care provider that has registered with Child Care Aware® of America to provide quality childcare to elligible active duty military families. Currently, our program serves families where the military member is either deployed, on permanent duty orders out of the State, or assigned to a Navy ship. What is the Child Care Aware® of America Military Fee Assistance Program?
Child Care Aware® of America is working with the U.S. Military Services to help those who serve in the military find and afford child care that suits their unique needs. Through the fee assistance program, families are eligible to receive monthly fee assistance to help offset the cost of child care in their communities.
How do I determine if I am eligible to receive fee assistance?
Eligibility may vary by military branch. To determine your eligibility, click on the seal for your service branch located at this link to identify which programs may be available.
How much fee assistance will I receive?
Fee assistance amounts vary by program. For many programs, your fee assistance will be based on your total family income and provider rate.
Do I have to be enrolled with a provider before being approved for fee assistance?
In order to be approved, you must first select a child care provider that has registered with Child Care Aware® of America (Like Us!) and meets the requirements of your program. If you need assistance choosing a child care provider, you can search our online approved and preferred provider directory or contact Child Care Aware® at 1-800-424-2246 for additional assistance.
After I submit my application, how do I know if I am approved?
Once your application has been approved, Child Care Aware® of America will email an approval packet to you and your provider. At the end of each month, the provider will submit attendance sheets for payment.
How long does the application process take?
Upon submitting your application, please allow 3 business days for our staff to review and determine what supporting documents may still be required for approval. By applying online, you can track your application status.
